Spice Up Your Oats with Chai Tea Latte Oats
Are you tired of the same old oatmeal every morning? Elevate your breakfast routine with the aromatic and flavorful twist of Chai Tea Latte Oats. Ingredients
Chai Spice Mix:
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cardamom
½ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
Oats:
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups water
1 tablespoon honey
2 scoops vanilla pea protein powder
1 tablespoon chai spice mix (from above)
Pinch of salt
Optional Toppings:
A splash of unsweetened almond milk
A drizzle of honey
A sprinkle of additional cinnamon chai spice
Directions
Step 1: Prepare the Chai Spice Mix
In a small bowl, combine all the spices listed under the Chai Spice Mix section.
Mix until well blended. Store any leftover spice mix in an airtight container for future use.
Step 2: Cook the Oats
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
Stir in the rolled oats. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid (about 5-7 minutes).
Add the chai spice mix, honey, and vanilla protein powder. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly combined.
Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Step 3: Serve and Enjoy
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the oats sit for a minute to thicken.
Spoon the oats into bowls and add your favorite toppings, such as sliced almonds, fresh berries, or an extra drizzle of honey and sprinkle of chai spice for added flavor.
